Notice of Public Hearing on the 2018 Kansas Consolidated Plan

The State of Kansas will conduct a public hearing to provide an opportunity for citizens to review and comment upon the preliminary draft of the 2018 Action Plan of the 2014 – 2018 Kansas Consolidated Plan.  The Consolidated Plan is the State’s policy framework for federal community development and housing programs. 

The proposed Action Plan will be available for public examination beginning October 1st here.  Limited hard copies will be available at the public hearing site and upon request.  The public comment period ends October 31st.

Estimated resources available in 2018 will include approximately $13,650,232 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $4,408,152 from the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), $3,000,000 from the Housing Trust Fund (HFT), $1,564,753 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and $452,803 from the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.

Individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency are welcome to attend and participate in the public hearing.  If you are in need of a sign language interpreter, an assistive listening device, large print, or Braille material, or other accommodation to attend this meeting, please notify KHRC at least one week prior to the meeting. The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation will conduct a public hearing from 10:00 a.m. to noon Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in the Craig Salminen Conference Room, Suite 300, KPERS Building, 611 S. Kansas Ave., Topeka, to provide citizens input on the Housing Tax Credit Program for 2018.  The proposed plan is available for public review at 2018 QAP Changes and the 2018 QAP Draft.  Limited hard copies will be available at the hearing and upon request.  The public comment period ends October 18, 2017.
