Notice of Housing Needs Public Hearing for the
2018 Kansas Consolidated Plan
The State of Kansas will conduct a public hearing on housing needs and issues for citizens to have input into the development of the 2018 Kansas Consolidated Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the state’s policy framework for federal community development and housing programs.
Resources available in 2018 are approximately $13,650,232 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $4,408,152 from HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), $3,000,000 from National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), $1,564,753 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and $452,803 from Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs.
Individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency are welcome to attend and participate in the public hearing. If you are in need of a sign language interpreter, an assistive listening device, large print, Braille material, or other accommodation to attend this meeting, please notify KHRC at least five days prior to the meeting. Kansas Community Services Block Grant
Kansas Housing Resources Corporation is offering two opportunities to provide input on the FY2018 CSBG Model State Plan. A public input hearing will be held at 10:00am on August 1, 2017 at Kansas Housing Resources Corporation, 611 S. Kansas Avenue, suite 300, Topeka, Kansas. During the public input hearing, participants will have the opportunity to provide input to KHRC during the development of the CSBG Model State Plan.
A second public hearing will be held at 2:00pm, on August 18, 2017, at Kansas Housing Resources Corporation. During the public comment hearing KHRC will present the FY2018 CSBG Model State Plan for public comment.
The proposed FY2018 CSBG Model State Plan will be available for public inspection at http://www.kshousingcorp.org/community-services.aspx on or before August 7, 2017. A paper copy can be obtained by calling (800) 752-4422.
Individuals needing special accommodations to attend the hearing should contact the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation at (785) 217-2001 at least five business days in advance of the hearing.
